Compiz management

$sudo apt-get install simple-ccsm
$sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager

SYSTEM -> PREFERENCES -> ADVANCED DESKTOP EFFECTS SETTINGS
GENERAL tab
DESKTOP SIZE tab
HORIZ VIRTUAL SIZE = 4
VERT VIRTUAL SIZE = 1
NUMBER OF DESKTOPS = 1
[BACK] button
enable DESKTOP CUBE
enable ROTATE CUBE
CTRL-ALT-LEFT (or RIGHT) ARROW to spin the cube
enable 3D WINDOWS
enable CUBE REFLECTION
enable WOBBLY WINDOWS
enable REFLECTION
ignore PAINT FIRE ON SCREEN

to create burning window [...]

Sansa Fuze media conversion

Google Labs offers binaries for Debian or Windows, and comes in GUI or command-line Python flavors. GUI installs under APPLICATIONS -> OTHER -> VIDEO4FUZE.
Else, if in a Windows environment exclusively, you could use a two step process involving Any Video Converter and Sansa Media Converter (SMC).

Copy source videos to a FolderA on the Desktop
