Looking at this photo, you can practically smell the apple pie and hear the crack of the bat, can’t you? Now THAT’s America!

Brian Higgins says “Please take a moment to reflect how much Congress has ignored you for the past 18 months, and all that wonderful (cough) ‘Hope and Change‘ you’re presently enjoying as a result. Be sure to support your anti-incumbent, conservative and independent candidates in mid-term elections this fall.”

Brian also asks that you check VoteSmart.org and the Political Courage Test on a regular basis to keep tabs on how your Congressmen are ‘representing‘ you.

He goes on to say “We are looking forward to seeing you as part of an exceptionally large, record breaking turnout this November in support of the true conservative moral majority in this state. Thanks for your support.”

I am Brian Higgins and I approve this message.

By default, Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx LTS has the window size control buttons mounted on the left margin of the window title bar. According to Canonical, this is to make room for more window controls in the future.

To set the window size control button back to the right margin, there are two main steps you’ll need to perform. Neither require a reboot or even a restart of X11.

Install the SYSTEM TOOL called CONFIGURATION EDITOR

Right-click the Ubuntu Menu Icon

Click the EDIT MENUS option

In the MAIN MENU window’s left pane, click SYSTEM TOOLS

In the right pane, enable CONFIGURATION EDITOR

Reconfigure the title bar buttons:

Click APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM TOOLS / CONFIGURATION EDITOR

Navigate to APPS / METACITY / GENERAL

Double-click the BUTTON_LAYOUT key

Change VALUE from “close, minimize, maximize:” to “:minimize, maximize, close”

You should notice the window size controls move to the right margin immediately.
